This is my second post in
my blog, I have seen a lot and I have experienced a lot since I finished my EILC
course.
There so many topics I
would love to talk about similar to food, change of weather, education and my
experience with my wonderful Finnish tutors, who have been a rock to me and helped
me through this period. I promise I will do my best to cover these topics soon.
It has been also
extremely interesting to go back to London for few days and come back to
Finland. London is my home and I love it to bits, it has my boy friend and my
amazing friends. Finland has opened my eyes to many things in London. First
thing I have noticed is how polluted and crowded is London compare to Finland. How
didn’t I see before what I saw during my last visit? As soon as I arrived at
Stansted airport, I took the train to Liverpool Street station, I just
rediscovered how everyone was so busy and rushed of their feet, so many people
all around and no one looks at each other in the eye. I have realized and
understood why London can be stressful at times and I also understood how
London can also be energizing and full of excitement at other times.
Honestly
speaking! I was stressed during my
break in my home in London despite the fact that I had an amazing time. The
traffic, transport, the crowds, pollution, the fast way of living and not being
surrounded by nature anymore, all of these elements created my stress,
but soon I adjusted back.
I was sad coming back
to Finland, as I will miss my boyfriend, my friends and home. However, as soon
as I arrived in my flat in Pori, I could only hear the silence, as soon as I
ride my bike in the streets of Pori and along the river to go shopping, I found
my serenity and my calm. The nature here is really breath taking.

I have to say, I felt
the need to write this post, as it is an important moment of my stay here in
Finland. This time has been extremely remarkable in many ways.
Firstly, the change of
weather, nature and atmosphere, I came here at the end of July when the sun
only went down for few hours, I still can remember enjoying my drink while watching
the sunset at 11:30 am on a boat along the river in Pori, then few hours later
at 2:30 am the sun comes up again. Now, the sun disappears at 16:00 pm and I
wake up at 7:30 am in complete darkness. The lush bright green trees everywhere
all of the sudden turned into complete beautiful golden yellowy, picky, reddish
colour then few weeks later all the leaves completely gone.

One other important
factor is that most of my friends, who I met during the EILC course and I met
through my exchange period since August, will be gone by the end of this month.
It will make me sad to see all of them go.
This massive
transition and leavening and coming back to Finland during my autumn break
inspired me to create two videos to show what I have experienced in the past
few months. I made this also for all my friends who are going to leave Finland,
as memory when they look at it, they remember the beautiful time that we spent
together is this beautiful place.
Enjoy watching J
